Educate yourself! I believe
knowledge is power. If you’re expecting a child with SB and
you know up front, find out all you can. Join a SB support
list online, these are women that have been through worse
case scenarios. Know however that every child is different.
There is no other child like yours.
He/She is going to have
her own share of symptoms and accomplishments, and nobody
can exactly predict how your child is going to be, not even
the world’s best neurosurgeon. Love your child, help him/her
try to achieve the best to their capability and be proud of
his/her achievements. Be patient and have faith in your
child, in yourself and of course in God, who thought you
where special enough to deserve a special child.
